Norway recognized the new Palestinian government just minutes after it was approved Saturday, and said it would normalize relations with the Hamas-Fatah coalition.
Let’s hope this is a start of many… I don’t really care much about the government itself and all its politics, what’s important is that the Palestinians get their rights back. But, this seems like a pipe dream because the US just announced how “disturbed” it is by the Palestinian government’s assertion that they have a “right to resist”. How can the US call itself a democracy when it goes around refusing people their basic rights from being attacked and occupied? If the US was Occupied would they be saying the same thing?
Back to the reality on the ground : (From Sabbah)
Did you know…that Nablus; the second oldest city in the world and its neighboring Balata Camp, are living the hell of Israel occupation.
For four consecutive nights, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have invaded Balata Refugee Camp on the outskirts of Nablus, Occupied Palestine. They drove up and down the camp, threw percussion grenades and fired randomly at residents’ homes.
This is not a new habit of the IOF, but something they’ve kept doing for many years already. It’s important to note that this is not an exception, but normality in Balata Refugee Camp.
